embraced the teachings of Yoga after a battle with depression and anxiety in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. After taking my first Yoga class, I immediately realized that the teachings of Yoga had the potential to uplift my life, refresh my perspective, and add adventure to my every day. With the encouragement of my beloved family, teachers, and friends I embarked on the life-changing Jivamukti Teacher Training. Under the mentorship of a dedicated lineage of teachers that include Sharon Gannon, David Life, Jules Febre, Rima Rabbath, Monica Jaggi, and Danielle Prager, I earned a 300-hour teacher certification. I love being able to wake up every morning and share the healing teachings of yoga with my community of friends, clients, patients, and family. Yoga will strengthen your body, soften your heart, and sharpen your mind.
Yoga provides a 24/7 refugee from the stressors of life and restores my energy, breathing, and body. It allows me to merge movement with breath creating a graceful and rejuvenating practice. No matter if you’re a mega yogi that can hit all the super dope arm balance or some who falls out of every other arm balance (that’s me), yoga is a healing and nurturing life practice. The practice of yoga will teach you mindfulness, breath consciousness, body awareness, and playfulness.
